Placing Holds

  1. Go to: or select Card Catalog in the left-hand column on the library’s webpage. When using a mobile device, you may need to click on the Full OPAC option in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  2. Click Log On in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Enter your last name in the Username or Barcode field. Enter your library card number (14 digit barcode) in the Password field. Your library card number (barcode) can be found on the back of your library card.
  3. Using the search bar in the upper left-hand corner, search for the item you would like. OR to browse the newer titles, click the Home tab and then See All in the What’s New box. This will display the newer titles in list format with descriptions.
  4. Click the title (in red) that you wish to reserve.
  5. Click on Reserve in the upper right corner of the screen.
  6. Click on Reserve again. Once you click OK to confirm that you would like to reserve this item, you will receive a confirmation that the item was successfully reserved. (If the item is in, it will be pulled off the shelf and set aside for you. If the item is out, you will be put on holds list and we’ll contact you when it’s available for you).
  7. Close the reserve window and search for another item.

*If you do not know your library card number or need help, please call or email the library.

The items that are placed on hold can be picked up using curbside service or inside the library. More information can be found in the Browsing, Computer use, and Curbside Service section on this webpage or by contacting the library.
